Delft
Delft is located between the well-known cities of The Hague and Rotterdam. This beautiful little city enjoys a worldwide reputation due to its connection with the world famous artist Johannes Vermeer, Delft Blue earthenware and the Royal House.
Relive its glorious past as you wander along canals, churches, mansions, museums and courtyards in the historic downtown area. Learn how the world-famous Delft Blue earthenware is produced at Royal Delft, the factory that has been producing the hand-painted, blue motives since 1602. Discover Delft from the water; board a cruise around the romantic canals and splendid sights of the city, or hire an electric motor boat or a pedalo to discover the city by yourself. The center of Delft is compact so the main transport is by bicycle or walking.
Walking along the canals, down the side streets and around the city squares of Delft, you will encounter many markets, restaurants and cafés along the way to stop and relax in.

Museum Prinsenhof Delft
A unique opportunity to explore the history of the Netherlands, Delft and delftware. The museum is housed in a building of great historical importance, the site of some of the most dramatic and consequential events of Dutch history. In the museum you will discover the role the citizens of Delft played in the history of the Netherlands and how delftware became the global brand it is today.
Vermeer Centrum Delft
The Vermeer Centrum Delft offers visitors a discovery tour through the life, works and town of the 17th century master of light: Johannes Vermeer. The section ‘Vermeer’s world’ shows you 17th entury Delft. Wander through the famous ‘View of Delft’ and meet Vermeer’s environment: his clients, his family and his rich mother-in-law. In Vermeer’s world there are copies of all his paintings in their original size, an entire own world in his 37 works.

Delft Blue Factory
In the seventeenth century, 32 factories produced Delft earthenware in Delft. The delft blue factory is one of the few factories that continues this tradition of completely hand-painted Delft pottery. Come and see with your own eyes how Delftware is made.
Markets
The markets in Delft draw visitors from afar to explore the hundreds of market stalls. Colourful flower stalls, merchants selling cheese and other fresh products, and countless antiques, books and trinkets are all on offer.
Nieuwe Church
A Protestant church located on Delft Market Square and opposite to the City Hall where William the Silent was entombed. The private royal family crypt is not open to the public.
